Ingredients

For the Wings
  • 2 lbs chicken wings Look for party-style wings for easier eating; drumettes and flats are classic choices
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Helps the seasoning adhere better; feel free to use canola or avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds a savory note; fresh minced garlic (2 cloves) can be used for more intensity
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika Gives a lovely smoky flavor that complements the sweetness of the sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt Enhances all flavors; adjust depending on your preference for saltiness
For the Hot Honey Peach Sauce
  • 1/2 cup peach preserves Provides a sweet, fruity base; apricot preserves work as a great substitute
  • 1/4 cup honey Adds natural sweetness and stickiness; maple syrup can be used for a different flavor profile
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar Balances the sweetness with acidity; lemon juice is a good alternative
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes For heat; adjust based on your spice tolerance or leave it out for milder wings

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by rinsing your chicken wings under cold water and patting them dry with paper towels. This ensures they get crispy in the oven.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the wings with salt, pepper, and your favorite spices. Make sure every wing is well-coated for maximum flavor!
Cooking
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Arrange the seasoned wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown.
  2. While the wings are baking, combine honey, peach preserves, garlic powder, and a splash of hot sauce in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until melted and smooth.
  3. Once baked, remove the wings from the oven and brush them generously with the hot honey peach glaze. Return them to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes to caramelize.
  4. Once glazed, take a moment to admire those beautifully sticky wings! Serve hot with extra glaze on the side for dipping.
