Ideal for family gatherings or cozy evenings, this dessert is easy to prepare yet impressive enough to wow your guests. Enjoy it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or chilled with a dollop of whipped cream for an unforgettable treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) snickerdoodle cookie mix
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cups chopped apple pie filling
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch glass pie plate.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the snickerdoodle cookie mix and softened butter. Use a pastry blender to achieve crumb-like consistency.
  3. Press about 2 cups of crumbs into the bottom and sides of the greased pie plate. Bake for 10 minutes and set aside.
  4. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar and flour; mix well. Incorporate vanilla and egg until smooth.
  5. In a small bowl, combine chopped apple pie filling with cinnamon.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the pre-baked crust, followed by the apple mixture, prioritizing apples over thickened filling.
  7. Toss remaining cookie crumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over apples.
  8. Bake for about 35 minutes or until golden brown on top. Cool completely before refrigerating for at least 3 hours before serving.
