  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup smashed potato chips
  • 2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 yellow onion (thinly sliced)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, smashed potato chips, dry mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently and shape into four patties.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat with olive oil. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side until browned. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté sliced onions until translucent. Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce; stir well.
  4. Thicken the gravy by mixing cornstarch with water and adding it to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Return patties to the skillet, simmer in gravy for 5 minutes, then serve warm.
