  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • Tangzhong (from recipe above)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste or extract
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the peach filling by combining cubed peaches with sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and water; set aside.
  2. In a stand mixer, mix water, bread flour, sugar, yeast, and salt; add milk, heavy cream, egg, tangzhong, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Gradually add remaining flour to form a soft dough; knead until elastic.
  4. Let the dough rise until doubled in size (about 90 minutes).
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread softened butter over it.
  6. Distribute peach filling evenly and roll up tightly; slice into rolls.
