  • 2½3 cups bread flour

  • 1 tbsp black cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

  • Frosting: 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1½ cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp cream or milk

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until bubbly (10–15 minutes).
  2. Mix in softened butter and eggs until well combined.
  3. Add salt and gradually incorporate flour until dough forms. Knead for 3–5 minutes until soft.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl covered with a cloth until doubled (about 1½ hours).
  5. Roll out on a floured surface into a rectangle. Spread with butter and sprinkle filling evenly.
  6. Roll tightly from the long side; cut into 12 equal pieces.
  7. Place in greased baking pan to rise again until doubled (45–60 minutes).
  8. Bake at 375°F for 14–18 minutes until golden brown.
