Ingredients
- 14 oz ground pork
- 1 egg
- 2 small coriander roots
- 2 tsp black peppercorns
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup finely diced carrots
- 2 tbsp finely chopped green onions
- 2 dried shiitake mushrooms (soaked and finely chopped)
- 3 tbsp golden mountain sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp white sugar
- 2 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 pack dumpling wrappers
Instructions
- In a mortar and pestle, pound coriander roots, black peppercorns, and garlic until fine.
- In a mixing bowl, combine golden mountain sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and oyster sauce.
- Blend ground pork with the sauce mixture, egg, and cornstarch until smooth.
- Mix the blended filling with the crushed spice mixture, carrots, green onions, and shiitake mushrooms.
- Shape dumplings: place a wrapper in a spoon, add filling, moisten edges with water, fold and seal.
- Steam lined dumplings over medium heat for about 10 minutes until wrappers are translucent.
