  • 6 ounces blackberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/4 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 12 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the blackberry swirl by simmering blackberries, sugar, and water in a saucepan until thickened. Allow to cool.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  3. Melt butter and mix in sugar, eggs, vanilla, and salt. Stir in cocoa powder and flour until just combined.
  4. In another bowl, beat cream cheese with Greek yogurt, egg, sugar, and salt until smooth.
  5. Layer half of the brownie batter in the pan, spread cheesecake mixture on top, dollop blackberry sauce, then add remaining brownie batter. Swirl gently.
  6. Bake for about 60 minutes until a toothpick comes out mostly clean. Cool before slicing.
